Lila - Age 2, Week 2 | Long Island Children's Photographer
Its been so crazy cold here this week that we really haven't ventured out of the house much. You had your 2 year old wellness check last Tuesday and it was a rough one. They tried to take your blood for a test which didn't work out so well and you were so upset. It was heartbreaking for me to watch. You were hyperventilating you were crying so hard. And then to top it all off, you had to have two shots. Ugh! We are working on getting an appointment to have your speech evaluated. We want to make sure you are on track with where you need to be. I think your speech is coming along so well, though. You count to ten, you say your colors and shapes. You are constantly learning new words and improving the ones you already know. I have a feeling we are going to find out that all is a-okay. You are still loving all your new toys from your birthday. I am starting to think up a long list of activities and lessons for us to do over the winter while we are stuck inside. At Parent/Child class today your teacher said that you "are a quiet presence that fills the room". Your joy is infectious, Lila. You are so expressive through your eyes and face and smile. I was very proud to hear those words from your teacher. You are such a special girl.
We are starting a new music class next week that also incorporates movement. I hope you will really enjoy that. You have been dancing and singing a lot at home. We are also going to look at a preschool next week where you might go next fall!
