This Week in Photos | Garden City, NY Family Photographer
For some reason I didn't take many photos this week. Probably because I took so many on vacation. I needed a break!
Monday was my birthday. 39. How did that happen? We went to my favorite pizza place - Cicero's in Cupertino. We've been going there for over thirty years now (they've moved a few times). We spent the day hanging out at my parents' house. My friends Mary and Erika came over for a bit. It was a nice, relaxing day.
This one is from Father's Day, which was technically the week before last, but come on? So sweet. Please note there is no room for me in that bed. I spent the night curled up in a ball at the foot of the bed. How is it possible that a small 19 month old can take up 75% of a queen sized bed?
We flew home on Tuesday. We had some hideous delays in San Francisco because of thunderstorms in New York. We left my parents' house at 9:30am, got to the airport around 10:15am. Flight was supposed to be at 12:15pm but was delayed until 1:30pm. We boarded at 1pm and promptly sat on that plane until 4pm when it finally took off. We didn't land at JFK until 12:30am. Lila was up until 2am that night! She was a champ on the plane. Very, very good. Thank god for the iPad. It helped us out a lot that day.
Back at home for the latter part of the week. I didn't go back to work until Thursday so I had a couple of days to get back to reality. Re-entry is hard. Lila was pretty jet-lagged for most of the week.
Eric and his dad started work on the garage. They re-did the roof and are also replacing the siding. Lila helped.
I found a mullet dress at Target that I really like, so I bought it. Haters to the left.
Lila turned 19 months old while we were in California. I took her monthly photo this week. It is so freaking hard to take a posed photo of a toddler! Thank god I'm only doing this until she turns two. Most of the shots looked like this:
Last week's prompt for my "52 of You" self-portrait class was "jump". It had been a long time since I had taken any jump shots! I took this in our backyard. Look - our roses are blooming!
Lila had her second to last music class on Friday. There are no summer classes and I'm not sure if I am going to sign her up for fall. The older toddler classes are held a bit too far away from us.
As I walked to work on Friday I ran into a bazillion people in Times Square doing yoga. Crazypants!
That's all I've got. We're in vacation recovery mode over here! Hope everyone had a lovely week!
