Friday round-up | Garden City, NY Family Photographer
I hope everyone had an awesome July 4th! We hung out at the house and barbequed. We could see fireworks from our backyard - no need to go anywhere! It was sooo hot, though. I was sort of tempted to get in the kiddie pool with Lila.
Here were my favorite reads this week:
I really hope this pocket tripod for the iPhone gets funded, because it is so cool!

These portobello mushroom burgers look freaking delicious.
There is a documentary about Vivian Maier currently in production, but also an hour-long special about her on BBC. I love her photography.
These DIY pencil cups are adorable! I think I need one for my desk!
The TSA's Instagram account is truly frightening.

These light painting photos taken inside marble mines in Italy are really cool.
This post about teaching our kids to seek out joy in life and its accompanying photo are so beautiful!

And my favorites this week:
This red, white and blueberry trifle is SO delicious. I made one last year for the 4th of July and one yesterday. They were both completely eaten up. I'm making another one today for a birthday at work! The only modification I make is using vanilla pudding mix instead of white chocolate.
These Melissa and Doug re-usable sticker books are great! Lila has one and she loves it.

Don't forget the A Day in the Life photo challenge next Thursday!
Hope you all have a great weekend!
