Lila - Age 1, Week 46 | Long Island Children's Photographer
This was a really big week. We started parent and child classes at the Waldorf School on Monday, which I think is going to be a really great experience for the both of us, but you were a bit scared and shy for the first class. It broke my heart when I found you hiding in the coat room at one point! You are just not used to being around so many other kids and moms. I'm going to do my best to make this easier for you by doing some more social activities with you.
The class itself was really cool. We made bread and butter and the moms knit and the kids played with all the beautiful wooden toys. We had circle time with music and movement and we had some outside time on the playground. You drank your water out of a china teacup at snack time!
On Tuesday we went to two story times - one at Barnes and Noble and one at Dr. Rubin's office. At the second story time we ran into Liam and Juliet, the twins you used to take music class with. I've decided to take you back to music classes on Fridays when we can make it. I think it will be good to be around kids you have known for a while.
On Wednesday we went to Queens and had lunch with my friend Lyn and her new baby Dylan. I don't think you knew what to make of Dylan!
Needless to say, all this activity took its toll on your nap times and by the end of the week we were dealing with some epic tantrums. Luckily, Nana was your reset button on Saturday. You had a really great day with her and a great day with Danielle on Sunday and you seem to be back to your normal silly self now.
I love you Lila, and I'm so excited for all the fun we are going to have this fall and winter!
