This Week in Photos | Long Island Family Photography
And the winter continues! I haven't quite started "nesting" yet for the new baby, but I have been working really hard at catching up on all the memory-keeping pertaining to Lila. I am working on a printed book layout for her 365 photos from her first year, and I ordered a bunch of new pages for her baby book (as well as some pages for the new baby's baby book) and got us caught up to the present.
We did get outside this week for a few walks - it was a must, despite rain and cold temps. It put Lila and I both in a better mood.
Her hair is long enough for a ponytail now!
We even ventured out one morning in the pouring rain because we just could not bear to be stuck inside any longer! Lila and I came home a bit soggy, but much happier.
Lila playing quietly with her LeapPad on the couch. She is getting really good at navigating the apps!
I've already read two books this year and I'm on my way to finishing a third! Already miles ahead in comparison to last year!
A moment of happiness out in the backyard.
My Project Life spread last week:
Hanging out with Lila in her room. She likes to pile all her pillows and stuffed animals on top of me and Eric, either on her bed or in her teepee. The strange things that toddlers find amusing! The transition to her new bed could not be going better. Lila has been sleeping in until 8am some mornings, which is unheard of for her. I am so proud of her. I actually took this photo exactly a year after documenting our terrible sleep woes with Lila when she was 15 months old. Its really amazing how far she has come in a year.
Another walk! This one on a sunny Sunday morning. The sun was shining so brightly I was able to take my coat off for some of the trek!
Crying like a fool on the train while I read the wise words and looked at the beautiful images from my amazing Now You classmates in our "52 of You" yearbook.
Raindrops on the train window.
And that was our week.
I hope you all are keeping warm during this crazy polar vortex!
