Our Week in Photos | Nassau County Family Photographer

I started back at work on Monday, so both Lila and Logan have been adjusting to evenings with either Nana, or our babysitter, Danielle. The transition has been pretty smooth for the most part. Now if Logan would only start reliably taking a bottle...

On Monday we went back to Ridder's Duck Pond so that Lila could have a proper go on the playground (I rushed her home when we were there last week when Logan puked everywhere). Lila has discovered a renewed love for the swings since starting preschool, and her fear of big slides has disappeared!

Being back in the city five days a week means things like coffee runs before work...

Fruit vendors on the street...

and salads and sweet potato fries from Schnippers.

This little guy continues to be the sweetest... he charms the pants off everyone he meets.

The two of them together are the best. I am loving watching their relationship develop.

Scenes from home this week:

Up so early that I beat the sun...

Neighborhood watch...

Warm bread for lunch on a chilly rainy day...

Coloring with Dora...

A few minutes in the Bumbo...

He's been very clingy lately. Napping in my arms...

Working with some watercolors....

Feeding has been a challenge lately - not only with Logan, but Lila, too. She refuses everything. Its very frustrating. On this day she asked for eggs. I made her eggs and then she wouldn't touch them. Ugh.

Fall has arrived! The leaves on our tree out front are starting to turn and fall off. We went for a little walk the other day to the community center so Lila could play on the playground. Logan rode up front in the stroller for the first time!

I'm getting back into the groove of commuting again. I do like the 45 minutes I get on the train for reading, catching up on emails, or napping.

On the top of the list of things I did NOT miss while on maternity leave: having to walk uptown against rush hour foot traffic. I need body armor.

Working in Times Square has a lot of drawbacks, but the area sure is photogenic.

So we survived my first week back. Yesterday was Logan's first two-show day away from me. 12 hours without a boob. He drank 4 oz of milk from a bottle (he should have taken closer to 12 oz). I hope he relents soon. I was up all night nursing. Mama is TIRED today.

Good thing he's cute.

Have a happy week, everyone!
