Friday Round-up | Long Island Photographer
Friday again! The weeks are just flying by. Only a few more until I am on maternity leave! I will miss my coworkers, but it would be a lie to say I wasn't looking forward to the entire summer at home with my babies. I can't wait!
My favorite reads this week:
I bought a bunch of baby carriers when Lila was small...I was kind of addicted. The Ergo is still one of our faves. I am intrigued by the new Ergo 360!
Speaking of babywearing, this is a great post about what to wear to hide that babywearing "pooch".
Ooh, a blood moon eclipse on April 15? Sounds cool! I hope we can see it from here.
This video of different British and Irish accents is really interesting. So many accents in such a small area of land!
I am so excited to read Natalie's book!
I love these kids' pajama pants...adding them to my list of things I want to sew when I ever have time!
How cute are all these meerkats?
A great post on the Art of Listening. This is something I really need to work on.
Carole King showed up and surprised the cast of the musical "Beautiful" (based on her life)...I love this video of her performance with the cast following the show.
I just ordered a new breast pump...not looking forward to using the old dinosaur again. Shouldn't breast pumps be more elegant by now?
I love this letter that Kurt Vonnegut wrote to a group of students.
The message of this video is so good. Made me cry. And made me think.
Two great articles about slowing down - "I'll Finish the Dishes When I'm Dead" and "I Refuse to Be Busy". This is the very reason why I rarely schedule activities for us in the mornings (slow mornings around here are rejuvenating for all of us) and why I try to keep our commitments each week to a minimum.
Such a heartwarming story - small actions can make a big impact.
Did you know Zach Braff is making a new movie that was funded on Kickstarter? So cool! I loved "Garden State". Looking forward to this new one.
On April 26th make a film about New York City...I am so tempted to participate in this.

My favorite thing this week? My new Troentorp clogs. Its been years since I had a pair and I had forgotten how comfortable they are. (Yes, I've reached the point in this pregnancy where I can only wear slip-on shoes. Can no longer reach shoelaces!).
Also, this wonderful children's book, Dot, by Randi Zuckerberg. Another great reminder to unplug!

Enjoy your weekend!
