Friday Round-up | Long Island Family Photographer

I thought I wouldn't have time until later today to type this up, but Lila is home today after all - she was up a lot last night coughing and woke up with a runny nose. First sick day from school! Bummer, too, as I think this would have been the last day I had to stay with her at school. Now we'll pick up again on Tuesday and hopefully by the end of next week I'll be able to drop her off.

So! Links....here they are:

Steve Jobs was a low-tech parent. Also, while we are on the subject, check out Randi Zuckerberg's (yes, her brother is Mark and she was one of the first employees of Facebook) children's book Dot.

Friday Night Meatballs. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea, and I HATE that I work on Friday nights and weekends, when the rest of the world is home enjoying their family. I wonder if I could make something like this work on a Wednesday night??

We went apple-picking last weekend, so now I am on the hunt for all the good apple recipes - this applesauce nut bread looks good. Also these cinnamon sugar apple muffins.

Ooh - homemade pizza bagels.... I need to try this recipe out on Lila.

These photos of alley cats in Japan are so good!

10 lessons I've learned in my career.

Top 50 movies photography fans need to see. What would you add to the list? As a photographer, I was really inspired by the cinematography in Her.

Looking forward to this photography book about The American Road Trip.

And two quick tidbits...

We had this pasta the other night and it was SO good! Smelled and tasted like fall.

I'm selling all my maternity clothes on eBay in two lots - warm weather and cool weather. Check out the listings if you are interested - lots of good stuff!
