Friday Round-up

Whew. This has been a busy week! I spent yesterday afternoon with Lila on her first ever school field trip at Green Meadows Farm. She milked a cow! Video to come of that :) Hopefully we will get some time to chill out and relax this weekend.

And now, here are some reads for your Friday:

In defense of the princess. As the mom of a little girl who is going through a big princess phase, I LOVE THIS. "We think a princess can change the world, too."

16 powerful TED talks to inspire.

New Sigma 20mm 1.4 art lens

I'll watch anything Kate Winslet does, but this looks especially good!

I haven't picked up the knitting needles since before Logan was born, but with fall here, maybe its time. This sweater is really cute.

One of my favorite shows that I've ever worked on was BARE: A Pop Opera back in 2004. This week there was a reunion concert with members of both the New York and LA casts. I'm so sad I missed it, but loved watching this video footage from the concert.

Portraits of a photographer's wife spanning 40 years. Beautiful.

This information about mistreatment of workers at B&H is troubling.

Yikes. Not good, Lightroom.

This e-book on street photography looks good! (and its on sale!)

Well this made me cry. Its also why I am so passionate about memory-keeping.

An interesting read about staging and manipulation in photojournalism.

Gross. Check your applesauce pouches!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
