366 Hit List: November | Long Island Family Photographer

And we are....December! It really is true what they say: the days are long but the years are fast. I can't believe 2016 is almost at an end! Although it has taken a push to get through taking a photograph a day in these darker fall months when Lila is in school most of the day, I do appreciate this 366 project so much. It really makes me take a look at the bigger picture of a year in our life as a family, and makes me appreciate all the little pieces of growth along the way. I can't believe how much both of the kids have flourished and changed since January. It really is amazing.

November was a busy month, with Lila's 5th birthday and Thanksgiving. Sessions are starting to slow down for me, so although I am still editing furiously at home to get everyone's galleries and films to them before the holidays, I have been able to take some breaks too, and really enjoy some down time with the kiddos. Thanksgiving weekend was a really nice, relaxing few days for all of us.

Here's a look at some of my favorite images from November.

An unusually warm day at the playground.

Election Day.

Hiding out in a couch pillow fort.

Playing with her LeapPad after school.

Looking for evening snacks.

A family session with some of our good friends.

Pops and Logan sledding over Thanksgiving weekend upstate.

And my November mood board. I love all the black and whites and muted browns with little pops of color. And low light is my favorite. So excited for moody winter window light!

And finally, here is November in one second a day. You can view all my one-second films here.

And November is a wrap! Bring on Christmas trees, dancing Rockettes, and snowflakes. I am ready for December!

Now follow the circle around to see what my fellow 366-ers were up to this month, starting with Angela's gorgeous images!
