Snapshots of our Week | Long Island Family Photographer

The last week of Lila's school year. What a rollercoaster! I was frantically trying to finish up a ten minute long photo/video slideshow for her end of the year celebration, while at the same time trying to clean the house and pack to go away for the weekend. It was a bittersweet few days, saying goodbye to so many of her classmates (many are moving on to kindergarten next year).

We spent a few last afternoons on the grass after school, sharing leftover lunches...

Logan turned two on Wednesday so we flipped his carseat around to the front. He was terrified at first, but now likes that he can see me.

We had a few REALLY rainy monsoon-like days this week - there's nothing like a rainy day car nap. I kind of wanted to take one, too!

Lila and Logan have really been enjoying "stories" again lately. Thank goodness - sometimes they go through phases where they don't want to look at books for months!

Eric's new truck arrived this week. Lila approves.

Logan was more interested in bubbles than the truck. I'm telling you, its going to be "Saccoccio and Daughter". I asked Lila what she wanted to do for a job when she grows up, and she said "I want to fix stuff".

Yep. Saccoccio & Daughter.

Nice weather means lots of walks and trips to the playground.

On Logan's birthday we went out for frozen yogurt. I can't believe this kid is two already!

Thursday was Lila's last day of school and her class graduation. Such a bittersweet day! So fun to celebrate with everyone, but so sad to say goodbye - and mind-boggling how quickly the past two years have flown by!

Lila and her teacher...

On Friday I drove up to the Connecticut shore for a three-day photography workshop. It was a wonderful weekend spent meeting other like-minded photographers and talking all about our passion for this art.

Enjoying some conversation on the porch.

A practice session with some of Molly Flanagan's family as models (Molly was one of the instructors).

Kellie Hatcher talking about light and metering.

It was a fantastic weekend and a much-needed few days away.

And Lila and Logan survived thanks to a fantastic Nana taking care of them!

This week summer camp begins, and I celebrate my birthday on Friday! Woohoo!

Hope you all have an amazing week! xo
