Snapshots of Our Week | Garden City Family Photographer
How is your summer going so far? We have had such a crazy busy June, I can't believe it. I feel like I may need to sleep all of July to make up for it! Chock full of fun times, this June, but nonetheless - chock full!
Lila had camp this week and her last week of speech therapy with her current therapist. It was sad to say goodbye to "Teacher Bridget" after spending a year-and-a-half with her!
On Monday, I took Logan to the Queens Zoo while Lila was in camp. We had fun roaming around for an hour. It is a small zoo and very manageable for little kids. We got there soon after it opened and it was pretty empty, which was fine with us. More room to run and explore.
We picked up Lila after camp and went for a picnic at the local playground.
There's nothing like the light during the summer. So lovely.
We couldn't let a week go by without any couch shenanigans!
Wednesday was Lila's best friend's birthday party. A few friends and neighbors gathered for swimming at their pool.
More fun at the playground later in the week.
My mom and dad arrived on Thursday. Lila and Logan were so excited to see them! On Friday night we ventured over to 7th Street in Garden City for "Friday Night Promenade". They close the street down and there is live music. Lots of fun! (this week there was even a limbo contest!)
On Saturday it was back to the playground for the morning, where both kids got completely filthy on the horseshoe court.
After a bath with boogie wipes we went over to the beer garden for lunch.
After lunch, Lila helped me make cupcakes for Logan's birthday party while he napped.
And then Sunday was Logan's birthday party! We had a fun and laid-back barbecue in the backyard. The kids played in the dirt and then went in the kiddie pool. What more could you ask for?
And that was our week! Fun, but FULL.
Today we are headed out to show my parents the Bronx Zoo. Should be a good time!
Have a great week, everyone!
