Snapshots of our Week | Long Island Storytelling Photographer

Winter wrapped up around these parts with quite a busy week! It was Logan's "special day" at school on Tuesday, so I came with him and helped out in the classroom. We got snow the day before, so the kids had fun sledding and building a snowman during outdoor playtime. Tuesday is music day, so I was able to sit in on that as well - except that Logan kept shushing me every time I tried to sing along!

On Thursday I went into the city and photographed a concert at 54 Below put on by a group of "Broadway mamas" who I am in a Facebook group with. This little Facebook group has grown into an amazing community of about 200 mothers working on Broadway, and this concert was in support of one of our members who lost her daughter in a traffic accident two weeks ago. It was a wonderful night and I was so grateful to be able to contribute just a little bit to the evening.

Our week finished up with more girl scout cookie sales on St. Patrick's Day (this time outside King Kullen in New Hyde Park). It was freezing! That night we had corned beef and cabbage at Eric's parents' house to celebrate the Irish :) On Sunday, we went to the Vedic Heritage Temple in Hempstead for a "pooja" - a religious ceremony/blessing for Lila's friend Aman's baby brother. It was a really fun afternoon, and we had a good time catching up with old friends - including the Capaldis! Lila loved spending time with her BFF, Coco.

And that is the round-up of our busy last week of winter (although it was unfortunately not the last of the snow!).

Here are a few photographs from the week:
