Friday Round-up | Long Island Family Photographer
I typed my whole Friday post last week and promptly lost it thanks to Firefox and Squarespace not playing nice together. I just didn't have the motivation to re-type it. I have been losing posts a lot recently so I finally made the jump to using Chrome for my browser, and oh my gosh, I am so much happier! Its so fast! So, anyway, here I am, and hopefully this post won't get lost this week :)
Here are my favorite reads from this week:
I love these fabric-lined shelves.
I really like the idea of embroidering messages on a baby quilt.
Top 5 freezer meals. Some good ideas here! And here is an older post from Pioneer Woman about freezer cooking. We are inheriting a chest freezer soon and I'm excited to try some of these.
Tips for transitioning from a crib to a big kid bed. We are planning on doing this with Lila after Christmas, so I'm taking notes!
Do you know about guided access for your iPhone and iPad? This will come in handy for us when we travel. Lila is always touching the home button!
I love this post from Kelle about pleasing other people. It is such an infuriating business! Just be yourself.
Why you should date your husband. A good reminder to carve out the time.
Some really great ideas for DIY projects to spruce up your apartment.
I'm going to try and do some of these autumn leaf projects with Lila.
Loving these basic knitted hats.
We are currently taking a class at the Waldorf school and they are notoriously militant about no screen time for kids. I have a more moderate view of things. I appreciate the viewpoint in this article about parenting and technology.
And finally, I LOVE this post that Kelle wrote to her daughters celebrating The Day of the Girl. I could not have given Lila any better advice. BE YOU. LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE.

Happy Friday everyone!
