This Week in Photos | Long Island Family Photographer
This past week was the beginning of me having two days off a week for a little while. I'm taking Tuesdays off (in addition to my regular Wednesdays off) while Eric is working full time at the US Open and BAM. Its so nice having two whole days off! I am making it a point to do a special outing with Lila on one of those days. This week we went to Old Westbury Gardens, which is so close to us but we've never been before! The gardens were beautiful and there was a huge lawn for Lila to run around on. We had a great time!
We've also been continuing our daily walks around the neighborhood - either rock and leaf collecting, or taking the stroller and going a bit further. On Sunday morning we walked past two teenagers who had just crashed their car into a tree in someone's front yard. It was kind of crazy! They both said they were fine, but I called the police and told them to go over and check on them anyway.
I'm still loving my self-portrait class. A couple of self-portraits from this week:
I've slowly been making the move from Aperture to Lightroom (for my photo organization and editing) over the last two weeks. There's a big learning curve, but I am enjoying the change. I think I may just leave all my archives in Aperture. The thought of trying to convert them makes my brain hurt! I took a bunch of photos of Lila playing around on the couch so that I could practice editing them in Lightroom. Here are a few:
And finally - on Friday I visited my friends Lyn and Chris at NYU Medical Center where Lyn gave birth to their son Dylan on Wednesday. I've already posted this photos - but they are worth looking at again - so happy for their family!
I hope you all had a wonderful week, too! Enjoy these last days of summer!
