This Week in Photos | Long Island Family Photographer
We had a busy Christmas week - in fact, I hardly took any photos. Whenever we have family gatherings I always seem to be too busy Lila wrangling to take many shots on my camera.
On Monday we had music class and went to lunch at Panera like we do every week. Its a nice little tradition. On Tuesday we drove out to Westchester to spend Christmas Eve at Eric's Aunt Maryliz's house. We ate lots of good food and opened presents. Lila had fun decorating her shoes with stickers. Randomly the power went out in the middle of dinner and then there was a freak snowstorm that only lasted an hour. So strange!
On Christmas morning we opened presents at home - Lila was overwhelmed by it all. She just wanted to sit on the couch and do her regular morning routine of watching "Yo Gabba Gabba". She didn't understand what was going on! I opened her gifts and set a bunch of them aside to surprise her later on days when she is bored and stuck inside. We went over to Eric's parents' house for brunch. Lila got a dollhouse from them which she loves.
Eric and I both had to work at "Rock of Ages" that night, so after a long nap Lila hung out at our house with her Nana and Pops.
I had two shows on the Thursday, Saturday and Sunday after Christmas, so it was a busy week for me at work. I did get an afternoon on Friday at home with Lila. We've mostly been hanging out at home, staying warm, with the occasional walk around the block. Its too cold to be outside for too long!
And that was how our Christmas week went! I hope you all had a joyous holiday - happy new year!
