Snapshots of our Week | Long Island, NY Family Documentary Photography

Its been a lazy week, recovering from Christmas. The weather has started to get cold (finally!) so we mostly stayed hunkered down at home. I took the kids to the playground on Saturday and Logan refused to wear gloves, but then of course started screaming when his little hands turned into ice blocks. Needless to say, we didn't stay very long.

We are savoring the last days with the Christmas tree. I wish we had twinkle lights up all year round. I think the plan is to put everything away on Wednesday.

I was trying to take a few minutes away. Put myself in "time out" to get a breather. But then they found me.

I think he was throwing a tantrum because I wouldn't swing him around ("fly! fly!").

I  have a lot of photos like this from the past week. Sleepy, on the couch or chair, watching movies. That's what Christmas break is all about, right?

This kid is a daredevil. Loves climbing and generally doing things he shouldn't.

The basement playroom has been such a lifesaver. A change of scenery and a place to make a mess (and leave it!).

Evening TV time.

Waking up Eric on New Year's.

We went to Panera for lunch on Saturday. It had been a while! Lila's school schedule has put a damper on our Panera outings!

The cold park at dusk.

Some more shots before bed (I'm taking an on-camera flash class right now, so have been torturing everyone with my speedlite - haha!)

I got the remote out yesterday, determined to get in some shots with the kids. Mission accomplished!

And that was our week!

Hope you all have a wonderful 2016 and an easy transition back to school and work this week!
