Snapshots of our Week | Garden City Family Documentary Photographer
November! Here we are. This year just flew by. Daylight Savings was this past Saturday and we are now experiencing much shorter days. The temperatures are still very mild, but it looks as though the first frost may be later this week.
Last week started out with some wild winds and rain on Monday. I attempted to drop Lila off outside her school, instead of walking her in. She made it not ten feet from the car before she fell facedown on the sidewalk. Oh boy. All the tears. And a scraped nose and knee. I scooped her up, put her back in the car and we went back home so I could clean her up. She did end up going back to school later that morning. She's a champ.
Halloween was Tuesday and we went to Lila's school in the afternoon for a little parade. That night we went trick-or-treating and the kids had a blast. Now that Lila attends the local elementary school we recognized so many faces in the neighborhood. It was really nice. The kids had a great time and collected more candy than ever before.
We are still spending as much time outdoors as we can. Lots of scootering! The neighborhood is finally starting to look like fall. The leaves are turning and falling to the ground.
Peeking outdoors from the warm house.
On Friday after school, Lila's Daisy troop met at the Fire Museum for a fire safety presentation. It was a lot of fun, and I was proud of Logan for sitting still in the front row for almost 45 minutes during the presentation. He insisted on sitting with Lila and the Daisies instead of with me.
On Sunday it was a bit gloomy and rainy so we hit Target and Barnes and Noble for a few new books and craft supplies and then went out for frozen yogurt. The Halloween decorations are starting to come down around the neighborhood and some houses even have Christmas stuff up already! Target was full of Christmas decor!
And this week's portraits...
And that was our week!
