Friday Favorites | Reads, Eats & Random Things!

I'm sitting here on this rainy Friday morning with a giant cup of coffee, listening to thunder outside. Is it me, or has this been the rainiest summer ever here on the east coast?? My kids are grumbling about being stuck in the house again, so I am hoping these clouds clear up by afternoon. In the meantime, I'm letting them watch an endless stream of Netflix to cut down on the whining.

Lately I have been missing the era of good blogs a lot. There are still a few out there, but nothing like back before Facebook took over. I loved the peeks into different ways of living, different stories. What are your favorite blogs to follow?

From Tracy "Shutterbean" - one of the long-time bloggers! How to make a gratitude journal.

Another long-time blogger - a peek at Joanna's (from Cup of Jo) Brooklyn apartment. I'm kind of obsessed with her gallery wall. Re-vamping all of our wall decor/photographs is a goal of mine for this fall.

Speaking of photo display ideas, there are some great ones here!

Apparently Ellen DeGeneres just launched a baby line. Who knew? It's adorable!

Another one of my favorite bloggers - Ashley from Hither and Thither shares her parenting tips, all advice given to her by friends and family.

Oof. This article about how everything we eat is a scam makes me want to grow my own food and eat nothing else. Goodbye sushi!

Patty Smith remembers Sam Shepard.

I love this post about choosing the correct photo products for your brand.

I love this podcast episode about why you should be a brand not a business! Lots of food for thought.
