Snapshots of our Week | Celebrating Lila

This week was all about Lila! Our sweet girl turned SEVEN on Wednesday! I know it is cliche to say, but really - the days may be long, but gosh the years are short! It seems like just yesterday I was planning out her nursery and making her baby quilt. Sniff!

Monday was Veterans Day and I went with Logan over to one of his classmates’ houses for a playdate. There were a few kids there and they made cupcakes - very fun. Logan loved the opportunity to hang out with his friends outside of school. While we were at the playdate, Lila was on an epic shopping trip with Nana, looking for the perfect dress to wear when we go to Breakfast with Santa next month. They were at the mall for four hours! They did find a very pretty dress though after a lot of looking!

Lila’s birthday began with some presents from us in the morning, and then cupcakes with her class at school. That night Nana and Pops came over for pizza and cake. It was a good day.

On Thursday we had the first snow of the season! No one was expecting to get as much as we did - I think the weather channel had said we would get an inch, and we got something like four! Needless to say, with no prep, the roads were a mess. It took Eric an hour and a half to get home that night! Tank LOVED the snow - he was going crazy running and digging and diving.

Lila’s birthday party was on Sunday at a nearby rec center gym. She invited all the girls in her class and her Daisy troop, and they all had such a good time! An hour of open gym, then pizza and cake - so easy, so fun. And now we recuperate for a few weeks until the Christmas madness descends!

We head up to Copake on Wednesday to celebrate Thanksgiving. I’m looking forward to some rest and relaxation. I ordered a 1000 piece puzzle for us all to work on - sounds pretty zen, right? :) Wishing you all a lovely holiday weekend!
