Snapshots of our Week | Plugging Along

What can I say? We are plugging along through January. Just a few more days left. I know it is bound to stay frigid around here until April, but for some reason, I am always a bit more optimistic once February hits. January is just such a long month! In February we have Valentine’s Day and the kids have winter break from school, so the month seems a bit more interesting. Then March arrives and we start seeing the first blooms, and the clocks change, so more light… we are getting there, slowly but surely.

This week was nothing to write home about. School, work, after-school activities. We’ve mostly been sticking around the house as its been so cold outside. I did venture into the city on Sunday to film a friend of mine teach a knitting course at Vogue Knitting Live, which was fun. Otherwise, we are pretty boring around here!

I’m easing into the year thinking lots about my business and where I want it to head. About what I love to photograph, and how. There will be some changes ahead, I think. I’m going easy on the client load at the moment while I figure things out. I just started a class with Yan Palmer, and I am loving it so far. Lots to think about and mull over - not only on the photography front, but the life front as well. All good stuff…

Wishing you warm and cozy days…
