The Kunz Family | A Family Film Session

I barely remember the early days at home with each of my babies. Between the sleep deprivation and the sheer magnitude of adding another person to the family, I was basically wading through time in a dream-like state. Getting by one minute at a time.

So I was struck by how relaxed Danielle and Chris were at our film session - baby Thomas had just arrived, rounding out the family, which now included three kids under age 3 (!) - and yet mom and dad were super chill, go with the flow, tending to every request, from reading a book to making a snack, with patience and good humor. I wanted to capture the ease of their family dynamic in their film, as well as documenting these first days with baby. So much growth happens in the first few weeks of life, that I wanted to be sure to create a record of this special time for them, especially as Danielle confessed to me that documenting her kids and actually getting prints made is not her strong suit (which is a challenge shared by most busy parents!).

It was a dark, rainy Sunday morning when I filmed this, but I think you’ll see the warmth that radiates from this lovely family. Their film and some stills from the session can be viewed below.

I still have a few spots left for family films this fall. If you are interested in booking a session for your family, please connect with me here. I’d love to collaborate with you!
